WOLASTOKUK GUARDIANS
The Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation (WWFN) faces daily challenges to move towards a complete reorganization and develop its autonomy. The ghosts of the past, born of its dispersion, are the greatest challenges of the WWPN. It is then necessary to reach, bring together and inform the members to allow them to reclaim their identity, their culture and their values and thus reconcile the future with the past. The guardian initiative becomes a powerful tool to overcome these problems.
Wahsipekuk Seminar
The Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation, in collaboration with Parks Canada's Indigenous Guardians program and the EcoMaris crew, ois offering community members the opportunity to participate in the Wahsipekuk seminar from September 7 to 14, 2024.
