Wolastoqey culture is the foundation of our identity. The Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation (WWFN) works to protect, affirm, develop and promote our culture and language.

It is important for the WWFN to highlight our cultural wealth. The affirmation of our identity is synonymous with community cohesion. It is through culture that we can maintain our identity.

Artists and artisans keep ancestral practices alive. It is essential to encourage artistic production in order to allow the consolidation and deployment of our culture.

The WWFN is committed to promoting culture and language through various activities offered to members and the general public. To this end, the Two Nations, One Celebration event allows Wolastoqiyik, non-indigenous and Indigenous people from different communities to celebrate together in a spirit of sharing.

In order to enhance the use of the language, we put at your disposal this precious tool:
